Dan and Kay Jupe purchased the original 300 acres in 2009 and have been adding to it as ajoining properties become available. Purchasing large tracts of land in Irion County, Texas is next to impossible. Mertzon, the only town in the county, is virtually land locked by large family owned ranches so when the Jupe's discovered a 300 acre tract of land they immediately seized the opportunity. Kay calls the now 2,000 acre ranch their "Promised Land". Dan and Kay sold their hunting properties in South Texas where the area is saturated with hunting operations and moved to West Texas where the opportunities are greater and hunting pressure is significantly less. Family owned and operated, you will be treated like family at the Rockin’ DK Ranch!
